Dimo Michailov, JD, CISSP, CIPP, is an Associate at a Washington, DC law firm. He is a recent graduate of Georgetown University Law Center specializing in cybercrime, information security and privacy, intellectual property, and Internet/E-commerce legal issues. He is the founding member of the Cybercrime Law Internet magazine found at cybercrimelaw.org. At Georgetown, he was the vice-president of Student Intellectual Property Law Association.

Dimo served as the Information Security and Privacy Officer at Georgetown University Law Center where he oversaw the development and the dissemination of information security and privacy policies, standards, and procedures; served as campus compliance officer with respect to latest information security and privacy legislation, regulations, advisories, and practices; liaised with community members and external parties with regards to information security practices and incidents; and coordinated education and training programs on information security and privacy topics to community members.

He is certified Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP). In addition to his Juris Doctor degree received in May 2007, he received dual bachelor’s degrees in Computer Information Systems and Marketing from Concord University (summa cum laude).
